Homes with not one but two front doors. That is the concept of The Doors in Amsterdam, which makes living with a home office attractive and tax-deductible. microbeton will produce the lightweight balconies and galleries for The Doors.
HOMES WITH TAX-DEDUCTIBLE WORKSPACE
Tax-deductible home office space, that’s the unique selling point of The Doors. Space Encounters designed the building, which will have a total of twelve live/work flats. Each flat will have two front doors. One front door provides access to the flat and the other to the workspace. As a result, the living area will be separate from the working area and will be tax-deductible.
Living and working by the water. The Doors is located in Amsterdam-Noord, combining the industrial atmosphere of Buiksloterham with a comfortable living environment. Through the use of steel and concrete, the building completely blends into its surroundings. Large windows provide views and daylight in the house. The balconies are enhanced with flower boxes made of ferrocement. To emphasise the industrial character of the building, the concrete beams and columns are left visible.
LIGHTWEIGHT BALCONY SLABS AND GALLERY ELEMENTS
For The Doors, we will produce various lightweight balcony slabs and gallery elements of ferrocement. The balconies will be enhanced with planting in the flower boxes of ferrocement. In addition, we also produce the façade panels, façade beams and canopies.
